What’s on the Agenda?

By Amy

Oh my! We are cooking up some interesting concepts for our expansion (still t.b.a. where). I can give you a few teasers of what to be looking forward to with the most exciting element being what we’re referring to as a “Tasting Gallery”.

I know many of our guests are concerned that the “charm” and “Zen elements” of our current shoppe would be lost by leaving the historic building we’re currently located in, but FEAR NOT my friends! This is developing into an adult candyland way beyond where we ever anticipated going at the beginning of our journey four years ago.

Patience is definitely a virtue – no, it is an absolute must! Seems as though we’ve been “Where are we going? How about here-here-here-or here for waaaay too long now, but finally – a beautiful light is peaking through asking to be cultivated. This is our form of art and it is just so relieving to be able to breath again or to tap into the creative channels by having an idea where you’re headed. I’ll be able to share this with you very soon. We’re in negotiations with our potential spot so I cannot say too much right now in reference to that.

I can, however, ask for your input! We’re looking to add many details appropriate for entertaining. Whether having a dinner party or even just a table for two during the week for you and your loved one. We plan to roll out very simple, and wholesome options for incredibly busy lifestyles. Looking for your feedback as to some features you’d love to see. Let me know by commenting on this post and I’ll keep touching base regarding the expansion as it progresses. Lastly, you can be looking forward to this expansion by the end of the year.

P.S. We’ve already begun to field the questions as to why we’re leaving downtown so here are our comments:

We attempted to expand in downtown Bloomington, yet were unable to do so for various reasons. Without new development options it is near impossible to implement a “food service” concept due to ventilation requirements, small spaces, “grandfather” codes, etc.

We greatly appreciate the time we’ve spent in downtown and candidly respect the many friends and colleagues we’ve made there. Ultimately, it is time to put on our wings and fly into the concept our dreams have created.

Cheers!

Amy
